It’s mid-October!

Most marketeers will harp on the fact that the years almost over.

It’s your “last chance” to hit your 2023 revenue targets.

Which might be true.

But after marketing for 9+ years and selling tens of millions of courses online I recognize two things:

First, people buy when they want to buy- not when you want to sell.

Second, your sales this month are a reflection of your past 90 days of marketing/sales.

That being said, I have a few cool goodies in today’s private newsletter.

Productivity Is For 9-5’ers

This is a trap I fell into, let me know if it sounds familiar:

At work, there’s a list of books, podcasts, courses, and articles you want to read (and re-read) to get your business ahead.

Also, you need to implement that knowledge.

If only you can just focus more.

At the same time:

• You don’t want to look like a bag of pudding, so you need time to exercise, right?

• If you’re exercising, makes sense to eat right too. Or just try to starve yourself all day with intermittent fasting.

• And you can’t let the house go into disrepair…

• Plus you want to spend time with your wife, husband, kids, dog, pet gold fish.

• What about vacations?

• Do you have time to learn a new language or watch that new Netflix show or master baking the perfect scone?

Productivity Is Not Just A Business Issue- It’s A Life Issue.

Think about this.

Ever since Tila Tequila went from $0 to $1,000,000+ in 1993… paving the way for Gary V, Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Alex Hormozi, and others…

Your life is now a brand.

In part, this is great because the playing field is level. You’re no stuck as a blacksmith because of who your parents are.

At the same time, you’re exposed to what everyone else is doing- and feel like you’re missing out.

Fitness, for me, is a simple example. On my fitness social media I see:

• Handfuls of 15 year olds benching 315 pounds

• Fitness models shredded to the bone year-round.

• Runners cruising at 7-8 minutes per mile for 14+ mile runs

It’s even worse with business content because most people rehash advice they’ve heard.

And This Competition Kills You

It creates an ever-growing bench mark to measure your productivity on ever-shrinking timespans.

It also takes away from what YOU want.

That’s why, over the past 90 days, I’ve dialed in a pretty stellar system that works for me.

The 30-Second VSL

I’m running a new test with clients.

The results are pretty exciting.

Here’s what you need to know:

1. Cold outbound sales are hard. It takes time to build trust.

2. Video crushes online. Pretty much anytime we use video, it wins.

3. The 30-second VSLs get watched AND get responses.

It’s good to starting conversations.

The better you do this, the more you’ll be able to frame the sales conversation correctly.

As they say, the set is the close.

The better off you start and frame the conversation, the better your conversion rates will be.
